Hendri Herbst is a South African Paralympic swimmer. The 24 year old came third in the 100m freestyle and added a bronze medal to team SA’s collection at the London 2012 Paralympics. Recently, he won the 50m, and came second in the 100m freestyle at the 2016 European Champs, while recovering from a shoulder injury. He is managing his injury, and hopes to continue his podium performance during the Rio Paralympics, and bring back a few medals.

Every four years the world assembles to compete in the biggest international sporting event. The London 2012 Summer Paralympics, was such a time, one that left a lasting impact on Arnu Fourie’s life. He will never forget the moment where he stood on the podium alongside Oscar Pistorius, Samkelo Radebe and Zivan Smith to receive the gold medal for winning the 4x100m Paralympic relay in a world record time of 41.78 seconds.

The women’s cricket world stage is set, as national teams gather in India for the T20 World Cup (WC). Mignon Du Preez, South African Women’s Cricket captain is ready to take the stage with her team. “I definitely believe that we currently have one of our strongest teams. If we can manage to adapt to the conditions quickly, execute our game plans and play to the best of our abilities, we’ll be unstoppable and we can definitely make it all the way to the top.”
